Where did the Nomad train before?
During his early days, the youngblood trained under Khabib Nurmagomedov as he was a special guest in Kazakhstan. The Nomad has imprinted on Khabib’s ground skills, and wrestling maneuvers and has taken professional advice from “The Eagle.”
Coincidentally he has also trained with the Irish Welterweight prodigy Ian Garry who holds his professional record of 13-0 in UFC and with the Brazilian Welterweight contender Vincent Luque who holds his professional record of (22-9-1). Both Ian Garry and Rakhmonov share the same gym which is KillCliff.
Rakhmonov has discussed in an interview, that he might join forces with Khabib’s team and will train under him. Khabib inspired him to be a dynamic grappler, following which he defeated four of the Welterweight fighters by submission.
In an interview, he was asked whether he wants to use his combat productivity in the American Kickboxing Academy in which the likes of UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, Usman Nurmagomedov, and Umar Nurmagomedov train under Javier Mendez and the UFC greatest legend Khabib Nurmagomedov “I haven’t thought about it yet,” Rakhmonov replied. “Maybe in the future, if the opportunity presents itself. I’d be very interested in training with them. They have a very good school.”
Rakhmonov might be collaborating with Khabib and his students to seek out the next challenge as he is no stranger to those Dagestani prodigies. He might fit in because he has the same attributes as Khabib and he is familiar with his tactics and Risecharisma.
