The JRE podcast host, Joe Rogan, had a warning for people who drive at night. The UFC commentator was joined by Eddie Bravo and Brendan Schaub during a fight companion episode of the Joe Rogan Experience on August 5, 2023. The trio watched the Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz boxing bout in their four-hour-long stream. During the episode, Bravo narrated a story that could change your views on driving or pulling up for gas late in the night.
Bravo began by claiming that at the “Chevron at the 405 in Santa Monica” he “almost got killed”. He further explained that he never gets gas at night. According to him, you’re waiting to get into trouble if you pull up to get gas at night.
The American MMA instructor then continued his real-life story where he was driving on the freeway at around 12:30 AM. He pulled up at one of the Chevrons and he saw “two dudes with hoodies on.” They looked suspicious to him, however, he continued. At this point, he also explained that he was equipped with muscle memory to quickly get inside his truck and lock everything, just in case.
After listening to this story, Rogan said, “You should never drive at night.”
The JRE Fight Companion episode is available to stream on Spotify. During the episode, Rogan and his mates discussed the fights of the day while they watched them live.
Joe Rogan was impressed by a well-orchestrated robbery in broad daylight
Rogan was a guest on a podcast called 2 Bears 1 Cave in September 2022. He was a part of episode #152 hosted by Tom Segura. Among the multiple things discussed during the podcast, the pair also watched a skilled robber doing his heinous acts in broad daylight.
Segura explains the whole scenario where a black car is chasing the other car and rams into it continuously until it has nowhere to go. He says, “So that black car rams that car, right on perfectly. Then this car hits another car and speeds away. And the black car comes again and that is like precision, that is like trained on how to do that right. Then this guy jumps out of the passenger seat, Sh**ty camera work, probably scared to death.”
“He’s got a gun, okay, smacks somebody or the window on that side. And grabs eventually that bag. He’s got the bag now. Gets in there and it’s like see you later.”
The robber, who apparently had a gun, stole the bag and got back in the car. The driver was ready to pick him up and drive away. To this, Rogan replied, “Pretty impressive. Impressive that they didn’t f*ck the car up either.”
He was impressed at how well-orchestrated the robbery was. Reports suggest that this robbery had taken place in New York.
