Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is considered to be one of the most dominant fighters to step foot in the Octagon. Despite fighting big names like Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje and more, The Eagle managed to stay undefeated. Although the Dagestani fighter had to retire early from the sport, he’s had an interesting and inspiring journey.
Now, Nurmagomedov has decided to bring his epic journey to the fight fans via a documentary. During an Instagram Live with UFC President Dana White, Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed that he was working on his documentary with the organization. Even Dana White was ecstatic with Khabib’s confirmation and made the news official on his live.

However, UFC megastar Conor McGregor was not very pleased with the news. Conor famously shared the cage with Khabib in 2018, which ended in a loss for The Notorious. The loss was then followed by a huge riot between camps of both teams and both fighters still have a strong sense of enmity towards each other.
After hearing the news of the documentary, McGregor took to Twitter and mocked Khabib. “Poo on bus: The Story,” tweeted McGregor which he later on went to delete. The tweet was in reference to Conor’s infamous attack on Khabib’s bus due to the huge dispute between the two.
Regardless, Khabib has predicted that his documentary might be out by summer next year. Meanwhile, Conor McGregor already has at least two documentaries of which one was released this year on Netflix. Although it performed quite well, McGregor was not fully content with the series.
Conor McGregor frustrated with the lack of creative control for his Netflix documentary series
Conor McGregor’s documentary series McGregor Forever was a big hit among the fight fans. The series featured all the highs and lows in McGregor’s life over the last few years. While the series performed well on Netflix, Mcgregor was not too thrilled with the project.
According to The Notorious, he was frustrated with the amount of creative control he had over his own series. The Irish fighter also wanted the series to encapsulate a bit more about his business prowess as compared to his life inside the Octagon and fighting.
“I didn’t have creative control of it, I’m the creator so I wasn’t necessarily happy. I love the story, I wouldn’t change it but I would add my magic. I’m happy with how it went, it is what it is and onwards we go, that’s another one,” said Conor McGregor.
With his latest docu-series McGregor Forever on Netflix, McGregor has a total of four documentaries to his name. If Conor manages to make a triumphant return to the Octagon, chances are fans might witness another documentary added to McGregor’s name.
