During his recent appearance on the Jaxxon Podcast, popular UFC lightweight Bobby ‘King’ Green made such a crazy statement that it got the attention of MMA fans. In the latest episode of UFC legend Rampage Jackson’s podcast, ‘King’ Green confesses his smoking habits.
Before 2021, the UFC had an anti-doping policy that prohibited the use of cannabis and its constituents. Still, on January 14, 2021, there was a modification in the anti-doping policy that allowed the use of cannabis. So, whatever Green is doing is not a USADA or anti-doping violation, but the numbers are still astonishing.
Bobby Green claims that he smokes 15 blunts on a daily basis, which garners hilarious reactions from fans. One of the users hilariously said, “Those are rookie numbers“, while another fan showed his concern towards Green by saying, “How is he able to stand?”.”Now I know why his last name is green, damn,” said another audience member (Via: X).
Bobby Green is not the first MMA fighter to come out as a blunt enthusiast, as there are other popular fighters like the Diaz Brothers (Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz) and Matt Riddle, among many others. Unlike Green, Nick and Matt had to face consequences for their love of smoking blunts. Diablo was suspended for five years after he tested positive for marijuana constituents.

Similarly, Matt Riddle was cut from the UFC due to his extensive use of marijuana, despite being a potential prospect in the world of MMA. He was recently cut from the WWE due to a violation of the WWE Wellness Policy.
Can Bobby Green join the top 10 with a win over Grant Dawson?
Bobby Green is set to compete against No. 10-ranked Grant Dawson (20-1-1) in the main event of UFC Fight Night. A win over a prospect like Grant Dawson will put Green in the top 10 lightweight rankings. Green definitely has the momentum behind him, as he is coming off a huge arm-triangle submission victory over former Interim lightweight champion Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson.

On the other hand, his opponent, Grant Dawson, has not lost a match since April 30, 2016. He is coming off a 3-fight win streak following a draw against Ricky Glenn.
This would be a very tough fight for Bobby Green. The 37-year-old lightweight does not have many years left in the business. If he wants to come into title contention, this upcoming match against Grant Dawson will play a pivotal role in his championship journey.
