Jordan Leavitt will return inside the octagon on July 23 to take on rising lightweight star Paddy Pimblett in a three-round bout in the United Kingdom. Heading into this big clash, The Monkey King is coming off a close split decision win over Trey Ogden.
So far Leavitt has shown great potential to be a future star and he currently holds a record of 3-1 in the UFC. Moreover, his cool dance celebrations after wins have caught the attention of a lot of fans around the world. However, he will face a tough test in the form of Paddy the Baddy who has finished both his opponents in stunning fashion.
As this fight was booked just a few days ago, The Schmo interviewed Jordan at Syndicate MMA. While having a conversation Schmo discussed several topics with Leavitt. He also asked The Monkey King about how he felt feeling after an intense ninety-minute training session at the gym. Leavitt took this opportunity to diss Pimblett’s weight gain after his fight at UFC London.

“I’m doing pretty good no complaints. Yeah, I go all day. I’m not fat like a lot of other fighters can get between the fights and I’m in here all year. so it’s easy to do what.”
As of now, Pimblett has not responded to Leavitt’s comments but one thing is for certain both the lightweights are engaging and we could witness an entertaining buildup to this lightweight fight.
Jordan Leavitt believes that he can finish Paddy Pimblett in the first round of the fight
Paddy Pimblett has sent the whole world into a frenzy since making his debut in the UFC. Be it with his catchy phrases or with his brilliant combat skills, fans seem to not get enough of the British lightweight. However, Jordan Leavitt who will be his upcoming opponent reckons in an interview that he will put an end to Paddy the Baddy’s hype train.
“That’s really the goal. I could finish him in the first round. He has the excuse for a bad weight cut. We rematch in the T-Mobile Arena, I get Paddy Pimblett twice. Let’s get this out of the way right now.”
It would be easier said than done for Leavitt as Pimblett is a big threat in both striking and grappling. Owing to this fact that he has deadly knockout power and also possesses good submission techniques in his arsenal.
Nonetheless, it would be interesting to see which lightweight comes out on top in what is anticipated to be a stellar showdown between two exciting prospects.
