Sean O’Malley is one of the most flamboyant fighters in the UFC and a rising star in the bantamweight division of the league. He has had a brilliant MMA record, having lost only once in his career, which comprises as many as 16 fights. The fighter was in the news when he talked about his unconventional thought process regarding his relationship with his wife.
Sean O’Malley is currently married to his long-time partner Danya Gonzalez, and the couple have a daughter together named Elena, who was born in 2020. Sugar Sean has been open about his private life, especially his unorthodox relationship with his wife, and has talked about it in several podcasts.
In Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant Podcast, O’Malley revealed how he used to sleep around with other women despite being married. He also talked about how he feels that marriage is a very confining concept, and he cannot even imagine being with one woman for the entirety of his life.
“I plan on being with you. I wanna have more kids with you, I love you, but I am a horny motherf*cker”. O’Malley expressed how he convinced his wife to an open marriage.
Now, everyone is allowed to have their opinions and the freedom to live their life according to their will, but O’Malley, being a popular UFC fighter, received a lot of backlash from the fans. The majority of the criticism was based on him having a daughter and still living the life that he does. However, O’Malley does not seem to be affected by it, as he did not fail to talk about the same in various other podcasts.
Sean O’Malley admits to sleeping with other women in his open relationship
While speaking on the same podcast, Sean O’Malley expressed that his wife agreed when he proposed an open relationship to her. This meant that the fighter could have casual relationships with other people, and the same would be the case for his wife.
However, O’Malley thinks that it is okay for him to go sleep around with other women because he is a man, but his wife, being of the opposite gender, should not be engaged in something like that. He also blamed the massively popular Andrew Tate for this: “Until Andrew Tate came along, I was like, You can, and then Tate was like, Girls can’t do that, and I was like, Yeah, f*ck that.”

Fans did not take this in a positive way, as they thought it was a very convenient escape for the UFC fighter. O’Malley is set to challenge Aljamain Sterling for the UFC bantamweight title at the main event of UFC 292 on August 19.
