Colby Covington has time and again shared how much he believes in Donald Trump and his ideologies. MMA fans are well aware of his fondness for the businessman-turned-politician.
The former US President Trump has recently shared the name of his favorite fighter and it is the former Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. This was in an interview with Jim Norton and Matt Serra. When discussing Usman’s loss against Leon Edwards, Trump pointed out how Usman was winning that fight and it was just one kick from ‘Rocky’ that made him the champion.
“This sport is interesting like I watched Usman and… [he is] a fantastic fighter and I watched that fight [against Leon Edwards], and he was essentially undefeated and pretty much unbeatable, and he goes into the fight, and he was winning that fight by soo much. It was over, and that one kick and it was indeed over… So you never really know,” said Donald Trump.
MMA fans found humor in this as they thought that this would make Colby Covington upset. ‘Chaos’ is an avid Trump supporter and when he finds out that Trump has some other welterweight as his favorite fighter, it might hurt him according to the fans. “Colby meltdown incoming.” – a fan wrote on Reddit. Another Reddit user added that Covington might change his political ideology after this comment. They wrote, “Colby liberal arc incoming”.

Lastly, Colby expressed that he would confront Jon Jones at UFC 295 about his legal issues and personal life. Jones is supposed to lock horns with Stipe Miocic for his first heavyweight title defense.
The former US President is very much into the world of combat sports and he has a special liking for MMA. He is known to have great relations with UFC boss Dana White as well. Donald Trump attends many UFC events and the most recent one where he was spotted was at UFC 290 where the main event was between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez, battling it out for the featherweight title.
