Piers Morgan recently interviewed UFC boss, Dana White, on his show, Piers Morgan Uncensored. During the show, White revealed a lot about his personal life, including the death of both his parents. Morgan, upon hearing this, asked White about his relationship with his parents and his feelings about their death.
Sadly, Dana had a tumultuous relationship with his parents and was apathetic toward their death. In order to lighten the mood, Morgan, further down in the interview, posed a question that is all too common among combat sports fans. The British journalist asked, “If you could choose one person from modern history, from the last 100 years, to fight for your life? Who would it be?

In answering Morgan, Dana White paid his respect to Muhammad Ali and said he was an amazing fighter and a human being but alluded to Jon Jones as the baddest man on that planet.
“Jon Jones, who is in the UFC, still has never been beat. This guy has beat everybody, and when you talk about real fighting, you know when you talk about who the baddest man on the planet is? When you talk about the real definition of what that means. You throw 2 guys in a room and who comes out? Okay? That’s the baddest man on the planet. And it is hard to not say that Jon Jones is that guy right now.”
Piers Morgan, on hearing White’s response, said that he would choose Mike Tyson to fight for his life. Additionally, he specified “I would say Tyson before he went to prison. Mike Tyson.”
Dana White says Mike Tyson cannot grapple
It is common knowledge that Dana White and Mike Tyson are close friends. Moreover, White is a huge fan of Tyson’s, but that didn’t stop him from making this particular argument.
“A 100%, but Tyson doesn’t know the ground game. Tyson cannot grapple. Tyson’s quote is on the wall here. Nobody loves Tyson more than I do, but when you talk about putting 2 guys in a room, who comes out? Jon Jones has the tools to beat everybody.” Responded White after Morgan chose Tyson as his choice to defend his life.

There is no doubt that Tyson was one of the fiercest boxers on the planet, but when it comes to overall fighting, Jon Jones does have the capacity to beat any man on the planet in a one-on-one fight. The UFC heavyweight champion is still unbeaten in his more than a decade-long career. Do you guys agree with Dana White? Who would your choice be? Let us know in the comments below.
