UFC Fight Night, Jared Gordon vs Grant Dawson: Fight Breakdown
Both Jared Gordon and Grant Dawson are on a roll at the moment. Since losing to Oliveira, Jared has looked phenomenal in his last 3 fights. Similarly, Dawson has also looked much healthier in his last two performances at Lightweight after missing weight in the 145lbs division twice. How will these two fighters match up against the other? Let’s a take look.

Gordon will be the better striker between the two. However, he is not known for his finishing abilities in the UFC. The 33-year old has not been able to put his opponents away since his debut fight against Michel Quiñones in 2017.
Dawson on the other hand is a dominant wrestler who has 11 wins via submission and 4 wins via knockout. He will look to take the fight to the ground using his superior grappling abilities. However, Gordon is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well. Hence, it will not be an easy task to take him down.

Fans can expect a back and forth contest between these two on Saturday. According to the stats, Dawson is the more likely fighter to get a finish. But Jared Gordon will be the preferred pick to win if the bout does not hit the ground. It will be an intriguing match-up for the fans to witness this weekend.
