Former UFC heavyweight title contender Derrick Lewis is renowned for his unintentional humor. Whether it’s his impromptu shorts removal in the Octagon or his comical interviews, ‘The Black Beast‘ consistently delivers entertainment.
In a recent interaction with MMA influencer Nina-Marie Daniele, Lewis may have delivered one of his most amusing moments. During their conversation, Daniele and Lewis engaged in a game where ‘The Black Beast’ had to recognize fighters based on their tattoos.
UFC fighters frequently use tattoos to express themselves, with many of them having multiple tattoos. So naturally, Lewis encountered some difficulty correctly identifying them. He did manage to identify some of them, but it was Sean O’Malley‘s tattoo that left Lewis visibly bemused, leading to a lighthearted jest about the bantamweight star’s manhood.
The new UFC bantamweight champion has a lot of tattoos on his body and is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster right now, but when Nina asked Lewis to identify ‘Sugar’ by tattoos, the heavyweight said, “Oh my goodness. That’s a guy?…Ok, Sean O’Malley, my bad.”
This was what caught the attention of the MMA fans out there, as once again, out of nowhere, Derrick Lewis managed to produce a completely unintentionally funny moment. Sean O’Malley recently surprised everyone by defeating Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 to become the new UFC bantamweight champion of the world. He is now on a 6-fight undefeated streak.
Derrick Lewis offers guidance for individuals seeking tattoos
Similar to many other UFC fighters, Derrick Lewis also sports intriguing body art that adorns his upper body. In total, Lewis proudly displays 11 tattoos across his body. In addition to his explosive knockouts, Lewis’s tattoos have also garnered significant attention in the headlines. Furthermore, numerous fans have expressed curiosity regarding the specific names and meanings behind the tattoos on his body.
So to address his fans’ curiosity, Lewis appeared on the GQ Sports YouTube channel to talk about his tattoos. However, before digging deep into them, Lewis shared some interesting advice for people who want to get inked for the very first time in their lives. “My advice to anyone that’s wanting to get their first tattoo is don’t go to Vegas and get it whenever you’re drunk or high off of bars and stuff like that,” said the UFC veteran.
So, if you are also planning to get a tattoo, consider following Derrick’s guidance. Lewis made headlines recently when he won his last fight against Marcos Rogerio de Lima in just 33 seconds with a brutal knee to the head.
