WWE Superstar and former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey is currently among the biggest draws among all female WWE superstars. The former champion was recently betrayed by her close friend and former tag team partner, Shayna Baszler.
The unexpected betrayal took place during the Women’s tag team championship match at MITB 2023 PLE on July 1st in London. Ronda’s betrayal by Shayna also started rumors about Ronda’s WWE departure. It is now being speculated that Ronda might be leaving the company after SummerSlam 2023.
However, ahead of her rumored exit from WWE, Ronda Rousey recently took her revenge on Baszler. This happened after Shayna defeated Emma in a singles match by submission on the July 10th episode of Monday Night Raw.
Following Shayna’s win in her match, Rousey made her way to the ring, as her former friend Baszler waited for her. As soon as Rousey entered the ring, she took Baszler down and started punching her in the face. This led to a massive brawl between the two former friends.
The former Women’s tag team champions kept brawling inside the ring before Shayna went for the Kirifuda Clutch. Ronda pulled her off and tried to apply an armbar to Baszler, but failed. Shayna eventually rolled out of the ring and backed away from Rousey.
