The Diaz brothers are two of the most popular and impactful fighters in the history of mixed martial arts. Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz are widely regarded as two of the best mixed martial artist to ever grace the UFC Octagon and despite over a decade in the company, continues to be the top name in the promotion.
Speaking on the Pat McAfee Show, UFC president Dana White shared his thoughts on the Diaz brothers and what they bring to the table whenever they fight.
“The Diaz brothers are definitely fun. They bring a completely different fanbase when they are fighting. It’s fascinating. People just love these guys, from their press conference to the weigh-ins, to the fight itself, people are fascinated by the Diaz brothers.”

Nate Diaz last competed inside the Octagon back at UFC 263 in what was UFC history’s first five-round featured bout. Nate Diaz took on top-ranked Leon Edwards in a five-round fight, in what was an exciting match-up between two of the best strikers in the UFC’s welterweight division. Meanwhile, Nick Diaz is set to return to the cage in a rematch against Robbie Lawler at UFC 266.

It won’t be wrong to say that Nick Diaz was the first modern global start to come out of the world of mixed martial arts. Nick Diaz, despite never really making an impact in the UFC, made a name for himself around the world owing to his incredible personality, his fighting style, and his BJJ prowess. Nick Diaz competed in most of the major MMA promotions, and while he did not have much success inside the UFC cage, the quality of opponents that Nick Diaz faced even outside of the UFC cage remains undeniable.
