The Canadian Open has had plenty of incidents since it started. It has only been three days since the start of the event. There has been an exit of four seeds, and the count hopefully will decrease in the coming days.
The young stars are making their exit early as the seniors are making the event as a part of their comeback. There are three more Masters, one thousand to go in the season. But Toronto has given us a taste of how the last few months of the tour will turn out.
If it was the net that disrupted the match between Frances Tiafoe and Milos Raonic. This time, something outside the court shocked the spectators and players. The winds were blowing heavily in the second-round match between Sebastian Korda and Tomas Martin Etcheverry. A pole in the grandstand broke in two as it hit the seats near the spectators. Luckily, no one was harmed, but everyone immediately steered clear of the area.

The wind blew strong as the umpire warned the audience not to be seated towards the north stand area. The play was halted for few minutes as they evacuated people. Korda and Etcheverry looked on as people were exiting the north stands.
Sebastian Korda knocks out in form Etcheverry at Canadian Open
Sebastian Korda was making his debut at the Canadian Open. He was set to face Etcheverry in the opening match. Etcheverry was also playing at the event for the first time; he had played forty matches this season which was double that of Korda. The Australian was out for three months after January due to a wrist injury and has not been showing the same level of tennis ever since.
Korda started the match with fast serves and clever volleys. He had come to the net on nine occasions, and only once could the Argentinian get past him. Korda got the first breakthrough in the sixth game. Etcheverry stayed patient in the next game by saving two breakpoints. He took the eleven-minute game, which gave some hope.
But Korda settled it by blasting two aces in the final game to take the set. The first set saw Etcheverry win four rallies that went beyond nine shots, while Korda won none.
Seb-tastic 😎

Korda took the first four games of the second set within thirteen minutes. The world No.31 could not break serve even though he was four games down and eventually lost the match. Korda will next face fellow Australian Aleksandar Vukic in the third round.
