Predominantly, all major Tennis stars from the men’s game have taken the trip to China to participate in the Shanghai Masters, an ATP 1000 event. One of them is Taylor Fritz, the number 8 ranked player in the world. Usually, his girlfriend Morgan Riddle accompanies him for the matches on the tour.
The players participating in the event are invited to take part in a traditional players’ party. Both Fritz and Riddle have a deep-rooted interest in the fashion industry with Riddle involved in content creation while Fritz recently walked the ramp at New York Fashion Week. So, it was not much of a surprise that the duo dressed up engrossingly for the party and even took to social media to share the “fit check” video.

Being familiar with the sort of attire that people wear during parties, Taylor wore a black Prada Jacket, and black Amiri pants to go with Nike sneakers. Morgan was in an all-black outfit sporting a full-sleeve top and a mini skirt. In the video, both of them were seen complimenting the outfits of each other and detailing the brands of the outfits they were wearing.
In a quirky tweet along with the video, Taylor posed a question about whether all Tennis players do fit checks with himself replying that he didn’t think so. But, it was done in good spirits, was pretty well received, and was not meant to hurt the feelings of anybody. In short, it did click.
Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle falls prey to the tea house scam
Morgan Riddle recently shared an incident when she was gutted to pay $120, for a cup of tea. This incident took place when she and Ivana Nedved, the girlfriend of Sebastian Korda, fell prey to the Tea House scam. The scam is a notorious ploy based on deceit when unsuspecting foreigners are tricked with friendliness. They are lured into nearby cafes, so as to have a casual chat.
They are then served with aromatic tea or coffee while they are engulfed in the conversation. But, the ultimate part of the scam is when the scammer disappears or intimidates, prompting the tourist to pay a bill of astronomical proportions, that could even reach $500. Luckily for Morgan, the bill was comparatively less. She took to her Instagram page to post “ABSOLUTELY SCAMMED”.
To pacify herself from the distressing incident that took place, she posted a picture of herself making tea in the hotel room. Captioning it as “Learning something new every day”, Riddle chose to find solace in it. Thus, she stressed the requirements of turning adverse situations into possibilities to know new things, albeit in a jovial manner.
Coming to Tennis, Fritz who received a bye in the first round, will be up against Yosuke Watanuki of Japan in the second round, who got past Shang Juncheng of China in a tough three-setter. With a splendid win-loss record of 50-20 behind him this season, Fritz would be looking to make a mark and progress to the later stages of the tournament, if not go all the way to clinch the title.
