World number one Iga Swiatek is in excellent form this year. She won the French Open in June and made it to the Quarterfinals of Wimbledon. As the defending US Open champion, Iga is looking good on the hardcourt this season. She seems calmer and has even continued with the tradition of carrying a notebook around with her.
The beloved notebook made an appearance at the Canadian Open recently. Iga whipped it out of her bag during her tense moment in her match against Karolina Muchova.
The world number one was seen jotting down a few notes during a break. The match went on for 3 sets, with Iga emerging victorious after a hard-fought deciding set. The official account of the tournament shared a clip of Swiatek with the notebook on Twitter.

People have always wondered what Swiatek notes down during her matches. A fan commented, “Really curious to know what does she writes on that book.” Another fan took the funny route with their answer, saying it was probably a recipe for a Polish bagel.

Iga Swiatek’s notebook has become a bit of a mystery, with fans wanting to take a peek inside it. The stationary item turns up when things look worrisome for Iga. It happened during her Round of 16 encounter against Qinwen Zhang last year at Roland-Garros, Swiatek lost the opening set.
It was the first time she had dropped a set. However, when Swiatek emerged from a break after the first set, she had her trustworthy notebook. Since then, Iga looked like a completely different player. It was pretty much the same story against Muchova. Swiatek did go on to win it 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. She will face either Leylah Fernandez or Danielle Collins in the next round.

Given Iga’s proclivity for writing down in her notebook, it is easy to wonder what goes on in her mind. It is not too far-fetched to think that if Iga had not been a tennis player, she could have been a writer.
Iga Swiatek confesses what career path she could have chosen if it wasn’t for tennis
Swiatek is a force to be reckoned with on the tennis court. The young Polish player has established herself as one of the best players on tour in recent times. Tennis aside, there is something else Swiatek is passionate about. Iga is an avid reader and even founded her own book club. She always makes time to read between matches and practices.
Before the start of the Italian Open, Iga was asked if she had ever written a book. It did not have to be an autobiography per se, it could be a work of fiction too.

Swiatek replied that she lacks the imagination and creativity to dabble in fiction. She added that she had received several proposals to write a book in Poland. “I feel like it’s totally too early, and I haven’t lived enough to write a book,” said Iga.
Of course, Iga Swiatek’s writing an autobiography about herself in a few years cannot be ruled out. The young player is talented on the tennis court, but does she have the writing chops? Well, only time will tell!
