Tennis legend Venus Williams is back on the practice court again. The former world number one faced a disappointing exit from the recently concluded Wimbledon in the first round itself. Now it seems that she is ready to leave her loss behind and move on to the next big tournament.
Recently, a video of the American tennis star practicing surfaced online. She can be seen working on her forehand and backhand under the supervision of a mysterious voice. However, the person behind the voice was none other than her father, Richard Williams. Fans immediately identified him even though he was not in the frame.
She is working! 💙

Richard can be heard telling her, “It’s unbelievable power from the backhand.” He can also be heard correcting her form when hitting a shot. “Turn your shoulder a bit more on the forehand,” he tells Venus.
Richard Williams played a pivotal role in training Venus and Serena to become the legendary players that they are. Naturally, fans are excited that he is still the one his daughter turns to for guidance.

While Venus may have faced an early exit from Wimbledon, the 43-year-old shows no signs of hanging up her racket yet. Her hard work during practice is surely going to inspire others.
What lies next for Venus Williams?
Despite her loss at the hands of Elina Svitolina, Venus is looking ahead. Williams is set to return to the Canadian Open, which will be held in Montreal this year.
This is the first time Venus will play in Montreal since 2018. The 7-time Grand Slam champion got a Top-20 pass. This pass is given to players who were in the top 20 the previous year, have a Grand Slam title, or have won any 1000 singles events.

Following the Canadian Open, Williams is likely to participate in the US Open as well. The Grand Slam tournament starts on August 28th.
Venus may be past her prime, but the number of people who turn up to watch her practice is a testament to her enduring popularity. She will certainly hope to inspire a few more people to pick up the racket.
