Kylian Mbappe is one of the most feared forwards in the world at this moment. He has made headlines all over the world with his on and off-the-pitch shenanigans. However, the 24-year-old Frenchman has provided us with quite a lot of funny moments as well. We will look at one such incident of the supremely talented Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is having a mixed-bag season this time around. He had an exceptional World Cup with France last December. He scored 8 in total and an unbelievable hat trick in the final of the World Cup. However, it wasn’t enough to beat a gritty Argentina. The 24-year-old is also having a very productive domestic season with PSG as well.
Mbappe has 27 goals in 31 matches for PSG this season. He has had a drop-off in numbers after the season resumed following the World Cup break. Very recently, in a league match against Montpellier, Mbappe got a penalty and missed it. The referee asked for a retake, but he missed it again and skied the rebound. 10 minutes later he went off with an injury.
This story goes back to the 2021 Champions League campaign. PSG was set to take on German side RB Leipzig at Parc des Princes on October 20, 2021, in a Group A match. Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Marco Veratti, and Achraf Hakimi were standing in the tunnel. Leipzig midfielder Ilaix Moriba came and went after shaking hands with Leo Messi. A testing referee whistle was blown from behind, where the players were standing.
Kylian Mbappe was instantly startled by the sheer suddenness of the situation, but the rest three were unphased. He definitely wasn’t expecting a whistle inside the tunnel. Mbappe lifted his hands in reflexes to the loud referee whistle.

That surprise whistle didn’t cause any problem with his that night performance though. PSG earned a well-deserved 3-2 win. Kylian Mbappe scored the first goal of the match within only 10 minutes. Lionel Messi however stole the show with his brace.
The clip recently posted by @ukbaitstv went viral and got more than 200,000 likes in less than three days. And some of the comments underneath the post will make Mbappe take those with a grain of salt. Because fans weren’t kind in their sarcasm.

One fan joked about his Ninja Turtle nickname and said, “Bro’s ninjaturtle sense started working,” in the comment section. One comment said, “He’s thinking about all the penalties he’s missed,” referring to his recent Montpellier penalty misses.
Most of the comments are made on recent events whereas the actual scene took place almost more than two years ago. The fans have thrown some dark sarcasm toward the PSG superstar.
