The Brazillian soccer star Neymar seems unhappy about his latest stint in Saudi Arabia. The Al Hilal SFC’s forward clashed with his manager after the club’s latest defeat in the Asian Champions League. This is awkward news for the fans to digest as a few days back, all seemed good. The Brazillian was in fact praising his time at the Saudi Pro League. The player pointed out the competitiveness in the training sessions.
According to the reports, Neymar was earlier criticized by the manager of Al-Hilal. The manager signaled at the number ten’s troubled attitude on the pitch. However, after the latest clash between the player and the manager Jorge Jesus, reports suggest that the 31-year-old left-winger has requested the leaders of the club’s hierarchy to sack their current manager.

Neymar joined the Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in August 2023. His current contract with the club goes on till June 2025 and before joining Al- Hilal, the Brazilian-born was playing for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the Ligue 1. He played a hundred and seventy-three matches for the French side. The 31-year-old boosted a tally of a hundred and eighteen goals. He also had a total assist contribution of seventy-seven.
On the other hand, Jorge Jesus was appointed as the manager of Al-Hilal in July 2023. It’s been only close to three months since the Portuguese has been in charge of the club. It remains to be seen if the club’s hierarchy did decide to show him the exit gate. But, that might cost them a decent sum of money as well, as the sixty-nine-year-old manager’s contract at the club is made till June 2024.
Is Neymar performing to his full potential in Saudi Arabia so far?
Neymar has no goals in his first three matches for the club. It would be strange to point out whether the 31-year-old is completely satisfied with his move to Al-Hilal as of now. Moreover that doubt in his mind may have been leading the player to have performances way below the bar set by him over the years.
However, the number ten has a couple of assists for the club so far. A silver line in this whole saga would be the fact that it’s been only three matches for him till now. It might take him a bit more game time to get used to the conditions and playing style in the Saudi.
But, fans have to keep in mind the latest discord between him and Al-Hilal’s manager. It would be interesting to see, how things pan out for him in the near future in the Saudi Pro League. One can only expect his performances to get better in every match he plays from now.
