SUMMARY
- Kylian Mbappe has reportedly agreed on a deal to sign for Real Madrid in the summer.
- A former player of the Spanish club has claimed that the signing could be a regrettable decision for the team.
The Kylian Mbappe-Real Madrid saga still seems to be ongoing in April 2024. The French superstar still has not announced whether he wants to stay with PSG or secure his dream transfer to the Los Blancos. There have been several reports of ongoing talks between the concerned parties, but it still looks like there hasn’t been any deal agreed. But it is said that the player informed PSG that he will be leaving at the end of the season, as a free agent.
Regardless, the transfer to Real Madrid could just be a matter of time. The possibility of playing at a talented team in Spain could be an offer that Mbappe may not be able to turn down. But a former player has claimed that the signing could do the club more bad than good.
Predrag Mijatovic, who is famous for scoring the winner in the 1998 UCL final vs Juventus, has spoken about Mbappe’s rumored move to Madrid. He said to Cadena SER, “Having six top players is a lot of headaches for a coach. That can break the atmosphere in the locker room a bit. Everyone thinks they have to play, so it’s very complicated.”
Mijatovic’s comments could hold some relevance. As he says, Madrid will boast the likes of Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and others, if they secure the Frenchman’s signature. That will undoubtedly be the top team in the world, not to mention how their future will be secure for the coming years. Any team and coach will face some troubles when dealing with multiple stars, as many have in the last few years.
Real Madrid star Rodrygo speaks about Kylian Mbappe’s potential move
Rodrygo has cemented his place in the Real Madrid starting eleven, alongside his Brazilian counterpart Vini Jr. The two wingers have been absolutely sensational for the team, even though their numbers haven’t exactly translated the same. Jude Bellingham has been surprisingly the scorer for the team, despite being a midfielder. He is currently the joint top scorer in La Liga with 16 goals, boasting the best goal per match average at 0.70.

If Florentino Perez manages to bring Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu, that could pose a problem for the manager, Carlo Ancelotti, who will have many options at hand. Rodrygo addressed this recently, mentioning that it will be a good problem for the manager, to have several top options to choose from.
Kylian Mbappe’s reaction to being subbed off early goes viral
PSG beat Marseille 2-0 in the Le Classique recently. Vitinha and Goncalo Ramos managed to secure the goals for the Parisians, even after Lucas Beraldo’s red card in the 40th minute. The highlight of the game was unsurprisingly Mbappe’s reaction to being subbed off in the 63rd minute. The striker looked visibly upset to be coming off without having any goal involvement in the game.

After the game, when Enrique was being interviewed by the media, the coach slammed the line of questioning surrounding only one player. He even mentioned that the media questions as “Boring” and claimed that his aim is only to perform in the best possible way for the club.
With that said, Mbappe’s future with PSG remains uncertain even until this day. But it is highly likely that the saga gets wrapped up this summer. The player will either sign a new contract or will move to Spain, both of which could be a huge step in his career.
