French Champions Paris Saint Germain has finally seen the face of victory in the ongoing Kylian Mbappe transfer saga. The striker is set to stay at his current club for the season after a tough fight from both ends.
According to journalist Kaveh Solhekol, Mbappe is set to stay at PSG for the season after he decided to sign a new contract with the club. Earlier the player was convinced not to continue with PSG and sign a new contract. But it seems isolation from the first team has brought him back on track.
Club president Nasser Al Khelaifi conveyed this news to the team. He reportedly said, “Kylian is committed to PSG. Kylian is back”.
Kylian Mbappé will stay and play for PSG this season. Big win for PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi after standoff with his star player. Mbappé now expected to extend PSG contract to 2025. Means he can’t move to Real Madrid for nothing next summer. Al-Khelaifi told PSG squad this…

This seems to be good news for PSG in two ways. For one they are now set to retain their formidable striker who has shown his class during his time at the club. The other good news is that now PSG won’t need to leave Mbappe for free next season if the player chooses to move out of the club. Clubs that are interested in Mbappe, like Real Madrid, now have to pay a huge fee if they are to secure his services.
Kylian Mbappe is allowed to re-join PSG first team squad
French striker Kylian Mbappe is now allowed to rejoin his fellow teammates at the PSG first-team squad. He was earlier banned from even practicing with the first team crew after he made a few comments on his club.
As per the latest reports from journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe is re-integrated into PSG’s first-team squad. This was after he agreed to sign a new contract with the club.
PSG also officially issued a statement confirming Mbappe’s return to the first-team squad. The statement read, “Following very constructive, positive talks between PSG and Kylian Mbappé before the game vs Lorient, the player has been reinstated into first team training squad this morning”.

It all started a few months back after Mbappe sent a letter to the PSG hierarchy confirming his decision to leave the club at the end of his contract next season. The club however didn’t like the idea as they were reluctant to let him leave for free. The player was later given an option either to leave this summer or sign a new contract.
The French ace chose neither of the options and was thus benched from the first-team squad for most parts of the pre-season. It seems that his exclusion from first-team football has played a deep role in convincing him to change his decision and sign a new contract with the Parisian club.
