Christmas spirit is spreading all around the world as soccer players in different leagues take their turn to join in on the vibe in their own unique way. Premier League striker, Erling Haaland, took a comical turn to celebrate these holidays by playing dress up.
Manchester City striker uploaded a photo on Instagram to send his well wishes to all his fans around the world. The caption of the picture read: “HO HO HO Christmas is here! Hope you can enjoy it with your loved ones.” However, it was the picture that caught all the attention.
Haaland was dressed up in a costume of Santa Claus with a proper white beard and a cozy warm cap. He was holding a soccer ball in one hand and the UCL trophy in the other hand. It is unclear whether the help of AI was taken to create such a perfect picture but it was impressive and hilarious at the same time.

Fans in the comments sections joined in the joke with Haaland. Comments like “Most normal Haaland post” “England has really changed you I see,”“Daddy Christmas,” and “Grandpa Haalands what’s good”? echoed the sentiments of the fans.
The Norwegian striker has been nursing a foot injury since facing Aston Villa in the Premier League and is not expected to return before 2024. It is glad to see that his humor is not taking a back seat while he struggles with his second injury of the season.
Bukayo Saka joined in on the Christmas spirit
Haaland wasn’t the only one who dressed up as a Santa Claus this year. Arsenal and English forward, Bukayo Saka was also photographed dressed up as Santa Claus. The official account of the English national team uploaded pictures of the winger on their social media where the winger was wearing the iconic cap and white beard.
It is to be noted that the effort from Saka isn’t on the same level as Erling Haaland but it was a worthy effort nonetheless. These little moments are the only breaks afforded to Premier League superstars during these holidays.
