Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is looking to incorporate Mason Greenwood back in the squad from next season, according to reports. However unlikely that might sound, some reports suggest that the manager is a fan of the player and would love to work alongside him. Fans, on the other hand, are not buying this. Considering the discipline shown by Ten Hag since coming into this United side, this step is unlikely.
One fan commented, “Pure lies.”

However, some fans believed the news and were looking forward to Greenwood’s return.

The tweet that reported this news, claimed, “Mason Greenwood is set to marry his partner Harriet Robson. The pair are set to welcome their first child together in the summer.
Greenwood will be back in training with #mufc in pre-season of the next season. Ten Hag has given the green light for his return.”
Greenwood was arrested on charges of sexual assault by his partner Harriet Robson. He was arrested in January 2022 and has not been involved in any soccer activities since then. Nike has terminated their contract with him while he has also been made unavailable in the FIFA video game. However, he is still getting paid his salary from Manchester United even though he is suspended from the club.
Erik ten Hag was reportedly pleased with Mason Greenwood’s dropped charges
All charges on the young soccer player have been dropped a month ago because some key witnesses had bailed. On the other hand, just a few days after, news of Robson being pregnant was published. It is now being said that Greenwood and Robson are set to tie the knot.
When the charges were dropped, Ten Hag was asked about them in a press conference. He said, “In this moment, I can’t give comment about the process. I can’t say anything about it, I refer to the statement of the club and at this moment I can’t add anything.”
🚨 Source: “The manager [Erik ten Hag] enquired how he [Mason Greenwood] was feeling physically and mentally and said he was pleased the charges had been dropped. He [Ten Hag] thought it was the right thing to do to get in touch with Mason [Greenwood].” @SunSport

However, a source close to The Sun said, “Mason has spent a long time with very little — if any — contact from the club. As and when they were in touch, it was never direct and always through a third party. So for the manager to call him was a big step for him and one he really appreciated.”
“The manager enquired how he was feeling physically and mentally and said he was pleased the charges had been dropped. He thought it was the right thing to do to get in touch with Mason.”
The reliability of this source is questionable. However, considering Greenwood is now a free man and is about to marry the woman who had pressed charges against him, it seems like the matter has cooled down. So, will we see Greenwood back on the field wearing a red jersey?
