The 17-year-old Endrick had something to say ahead of an anticipated World Cup qualifier clash between Argentina and Brazil. The youngster reportedly stated – “About Messi, it’s phenomenal. Very good, best in the world again”. The striker further reflected that he is looking ahead “to enjoy the moment” when he plays against Leo and would get the chance to be “up close” with the player.
However, the Palmieras number nine went ahead and expressed – “Messi is a great player, but I am more of a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo”. However, despite picking CR7 ahead of Leo, the 17-year-old labeled someone else as the greatest player of all time.
The teenager reportedly termed the Brazilian legend Pele as the greatest player of all time. Endrick expressed – “Pele is the king. There is no one who will come close to him. There is no one to be compared to”, he added. The number nine further inflicted that he’s fortunate to see some of the old films of Pele playing, and asserted that he was impressed with those.
Performance of Endrick for Serie A league leaders Palmeiras so far this season
The 17-year-old center-forward joined the Brazil Serie A club Palmeiras in January 2023. The youngster has played 27 matches for the club in the Serie A 2023 season. He has contributed by scoring a crucial tally of nine goals for the Palmeiras who is currently sitting at the top of the league table.
On the international level, the player recently made his debut for Brazil’s senior side in a match against Colombia. The forward will be looking to get an opportunity again and make a difference in Brazil’s upcoming vital World Cup qualifiers match against Argentina.
