Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival at the Saudi Pro League has created a lot of buzz around the media. And his initial lack of impact on the Al-Nassr team has been critically acclaimed by the media and fans. But it seems like he will not need to wait any longer to prove his quality on the pitch after his recent injury scare.

Cristiano Ronaldo has had a difficult start to life in the middle eastern country. Firstly, his move to Al-Nassr was massively criticized by a large part of the media and fans. They claimed that money is the reason the veteran Portuguese left Europe. However, the 5x Ballon d’Or winner has clearly talked about his ambition and reasons behind the move and also said that he has won everything in Europe.
The 38 approaching Portuguese also had to wait for a couple of weeks to make his first team debut due to a FA ban. Ronaldo originally received the punishment for smashing a young fan’s phone onto the ground during his Manchester United spell. However, he made his Saudi Arabia debut in an exhibition match, that too against Lionel Messi’s PSG.
Everything looked to be written on the stars as Ronaldo scored two times in only one hour of game time in the PSG match. And he looked extra charged up and motivated against his arch-rival. Although PSG got the win by a 5-4 scoreline, Ronaldo was selected as the MOTM for that night.

But things went south when it came to the league games. The 37-year-old made his league debut on January 22. He had a very forgetful competitive debut against Ettifaq. But his teammate Anderson Talisca’s only goal rescued all three points for Al-Nassr. The next match, however, was a day to forget for Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo started a rehabilitation program for the injury he suffered in his foot, and the injury will not prevent him from participating in the next game against Al-Fateh.

Al-Nassr’s next match was against Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final. Ronaldo had a very good chance to score in the opening minutes of the match but squandered it badly. After that chance, he barely had a look toward the goal as Al-Nassr got beaten 3-1 comfortably by Al-Ittihad. It went worse for Ronaldo as he left the field with a visible limp.
Ronaldo was on the end of a heavy tackle, made by Al-Ittihad defender Al-Shamrani. His injury was examined after the match and his joint had swelling following the tackle’s effect. A day before he shared a picture of himself from rehab, with a caption, “Hard work never stops,” on his Twitter.

Although he is a fantastic athlete, fans were worried about his availability for the League game against Al-Fateh on January 3. Today, however, his latest social media post shows that he is back in training with the first team. His post’s caption says, “Focused on the next game,” which clearly indicates that he is fit to play the very important next league game against Al Fateh. Also, he will be determined to break his goal drought for his new club.
