Alexis Sanchez is set to return to Internazionale after one year of playing in France. The Chilean international first joined Inter Milan on loan from Manchester United before making his move permanent. After leaving for Marseille in 2022, he is back at the San Siro.
Though signed for a one-year deal, the French club wanted Sanchez to stay and offered him a new contract but could not match the amount of money. A few Saudi clubs came up with offers for the talented player. However, it was reported that the Chilean would be returning to his former club. There was also heavy interest from Jose Mourinho’s As Roma.

Sanchez is a vital player and Inter Milan could benefit from his presence in their pursuit to win their 20th Scudetto. On the other hand, Joaquin Correa will move in the opposite direction and join Marseille after falling down the pecking order under manager Simone Inzaghi.
Inter is set to sign Sanchez as a free agent offering him a contract of 2 years, which would earn him $3.23 Million per year. The finer details of his contract are yet to be revealed. Sanchez will join the likes of Yann Bisseck, Marcus Thuram, Davide Frattesi, Juan Cuadrado, Raffaele Di Gennaro, Yann Sommer, Emil Audero, Carlos Augusto, and Marko Arnautovic.
The Chilean enjoyed a great season with the French outfit and scored a whopping 18 goals for Marseille. He would be hoping to replicate his fine form from last season. Getting his place in the starting lineup would be a priority for Sanchez.
