The former PSG player recently bagged a huge contract with Apple TV. The contract allows the player to receive a cut of the revenue made from the new subscribers after his debut in MLS.
Apple currently holds the worldwide broadcasting rights to the MLS games. Therefore, a split profit with the new star player of MLS is no surprise to anyone. Incidentally, Apple is also the mother company of Beats.
Sportswear brand Adidas faced an ‘unprecedented’ problem because of Lionel Messi’s move to Inter Miami
Lionel Messi has reportedly caused problems for the sportswear brand Adidas with his surprising move to Inter Miami. As per reports, the sportswear brand is unable to keep up with the demands for the World Cup winner’s Inter Miami shirt.
The 36-year-old has reportedly increased the Inter Miami shirt sales by 25 times since he signed for the American club. Therefore, Miami’s official shirt manufacturer, Adidas, is struggling to manufacture Messi’s number 10 shirt.
A spokesperson from Adidas shared, “The demand for Messi’s Miami jersey has been truly unprecedented. We’re working as quickly as possible to ensure that every fan who wants a jersey can get one online or at one of our stores.”

Fans are unable to buy the Lionel Messi jersey from the Adidas website. The products are listed as “coming soon” on the websites. Furthermore, this is the case for both home and away Inter Miami shirts. The prices for the authentic version of the shirts have even hiked up to $195.
Reports claim that the fans might have to wait till mid-October to get their hands on the former Barcelona player’s shirts as the orders are currently backlogged. The sportswear brand is currently working tirelessly to manufacture the products and make them available for fans.
Messi has a clause included in his contract which allows him to receive an amount from the profit made by the sale of their merchandise. Thus, the increase in sales comes as good news to the player.
