Patricio Freire suffers a TKO loss against Benson Henderson due to a leg injury
Patricio made his lightweight debut against former UFC champion and MMA veteran Benson Henderson in one of the most anticipated bouts in Bellator’s history. However, it ended on a dismal note after repeated checks from Henderson to vicious leg kicks from Freire eventually left an impact on Freire’s leg, who was unable to continue, waving off his arms in the middle of the second round.
The bout came at Bellator 160 and stands to be the last loss of Patricio Freire inside the Bellator cage. Since then, he has picked up seven straight wins to his name and will look to maintain the same domination as he continues on his mixed martial arts journey.
