Reggie White was an American professional football star regarded as one of the best players ever. Reginald Howard White was born on December 19, 1961, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in the USA. Before joining the NFL, he started his professional career for USFL side Memphis Showboats.
Later, the star appeared for multiple franchises in the NFL, won numerous prizes, and set up various records. The former star started his NFL career at the Philadelphia Eagles and later moved to the Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers. He first joined the Showboats in 1984, and after spending just one season in the league, he joined NFL franchise Eagles in 1985.
He spent seven seasons there and became the best in the club’s history. Then again, in 1993, he moved to Bay Packers and spent five seasons. In 1998, he left the Packers and took a break from football for one year. Finally, he joined the Panthers in 2000 for just one season.
At the end of the season, the legendary defensive said goodbye to the sport. White signed a four-year deal worth $1.85 million when joining the Eagles. He signed a $17 million contract for four seasons when he left the club for the Packers. However, the Panthers did offer him a five-year contract worth $20 million.
But he rejected the offer and said he might play only a year for them and would take a performance incentive based on the development of their defensive line. The net worth of Eagles and Packers number 92 was $6 million.

The medal tally and records of Reggie White were huge, and he achieved uncountable awards and prizes during his 15-year career in the NFL. White won Super Bowl (XXXI) NFL Defensive Player of the Year twice in 1987 and 1998.
He achieved the UPI NFC Defensive Player of the Year thrice in 1987, 1991, and 1995. White won the First-team All-Pro from 1986-1991, 1995 and 1998. He won the Second-team All-Pro award from 1992-1994 and 1996-1997. He set a record of winning the Pro Bowl 13 times consecutively from 1986 to 1998. White was also a two-time NFL sacks leader in 1987-88.
Besides all these prestigious awards, he won other prizes like the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team, NFL 1990s All-Decade Team, NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team, etc. White holds the record of 10+ sacks for nine consecutive seasons, seasons leading the league in sacks two, and he shares this record with Chris Doleman.
He also pocketed the record of leading the league in sacks for two seasons.
