DeAndre Hopkins is an NFL star and a three-time All-pro wide receiver. The Houston Texans drafted him in his rookie year in 2013. And the team had picked him in the first draft of the NFL draft that year. He played with the Texans for six years before going to the Arizona Cardinals in 2020. And now the Tennessee Titans have drafted him.
The news of DeAndre Hopkins signing a contract with the Titans is everywhere now. And reports suggest that the wide receiver will join the team for 2 years. Also, it’s worth noting that Hopkins is a free agent and his contract is worth a huge $26 million.
DeAndre Hopkins holds a great amount of experience as he’s been playing in the NFL since 2013. So the five-time Pro Bowler has 10 years of total experience. And this further makes him the senior-most wide receiver in Tennessee Titans.

According to reports, 31-year-old DeAndre Hopkins will play the role of an outside receiver on the team. And he will be placed opposite Treylon Burks, who’s a second-year wideout. And reportedly, the salary of the wide receiver can go up to $32 million as per his performance.
The Arizona Cardinals released DeAndre Hopkins in May this year. And this has been expected to happen since the 2022 season concluded. And the main concern revolved around his substantial cap hit of $30.75 million.
His cap hit was the highest among all wide receivers in the NFL. And it was also the seventh highest overall across all positions. So this financial consideration played a significant role in the Cardinals’ decision to part ways with the talented wide receiver.
DeAndre Hopkins hits back at trolls after joining the Titans
Fans have been really disappointed and angry with DeAndre Hopkins because chose the Titans. According to reports, the New England Patriots were also trying their best to sign the wide receiver. And Hopkins even had a meeting with the Patriots a week after meeting the Titans.
But reports suggest that the Patriots didn’t offer him as big of a contract as the Titans did. And that’s why Hopkins decided to sign the $ 26 million deal with the Titans. But even at that time, the wide receiver expressed how they should be “mad” at the “management”.
“Be mad at your management, not me,” he tweeted before deleting it afterward.
And now that the news of DeAndre Hopkins signing the contract has been confirmed, the player has faced backlash. But now he has again taken to Twitter to express his love for his “haters and doubters”. “I always loved having haters and doubters but I appreciate it even more now… Titan up!!,” he wrote.
