WWE fans are always excited to witness something out of the ordinary. It might be the surprise appearance of a WWE Superstar or a new matchup. Now it seems they want to have one such match at the upcoming PPV event, and it involves Gunther.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has been going back and forth with Chad Gable for a long time now. Previously, the duo faced each other on WWE RAW, on August 21, 2023, with the title on the line. However, Gunther lost the match via countout but retained the championship.
Following that, The Ring General successfully defended the title against Gable on September 4, 2023, in a rematch. He then went on to become the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion. The celebration took place on the very recent episode of WWE RAW this week.
During the celebration, the Imperium got distracted by the appearance of Chad Gable, Otis, and Tommaso Ciampa. This led to a six-man tag team match between the trio and Imperium.
However, following the match, it seems that the fans now want to witness a unique matchup. They want to see Gunther face Tomasso Ciampa at the upcoming PPV event, WWE Fastlane 2023. The event is set to take place on October 7, 2023. Not only that but after witnessing Gunther vs. Ciampa, they want to see Gunther vs. Chad Gable one more time. However, this time at a PPV event, Survivor Series.

Several fans have joined the suit and stated that they want to see Gunther and Ciampa facing each other. However, the fact that they want to see The Ring General vs. Ciampa first and then against Gable might indicate that they are tired of watching the constant feud between Gable and the Imperium leader.
WWE fans might have proposed a unique demand for a match at the upcoming pay-per-view event. However, it remains to be seen if the Stamford-based promotion will indeed make the desired match happen at the event or not.
Alpha Academy and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Imperium
The viewers of Monday Night RAW witnessed a unique match. This even led them to speculate about two potential future matches. However, the fact is that fans absolutely enjoyed the Tag Team match.
The match began with Ciampa and Vinci. After dominance from Ciampa, Gable, and Kaiser tagged in, and after a tough battle between the two, Gable went for a German Suplex, but Kaiser escaped.
Soon, Gunther came in and began destroying Gable. After several tries, Gable finally made the tag, and Otis came in and nailed a ‘Bodyslam’ on Kaiser, followed by the ‘Caterpillar’.
Moving ahead, after a long battle, Gable sets the ankle lock on Vinci, while Ciampa sets the ‘Sicilian Stretch’ on Gunther. Within minutes, Vinci tapped out, giving ‘Alpha Academy’ and Ciampa the win.
This was the tag team match that the fans absolutely loved. In fact, the last exchange between Ciampa and Gunther led them to speculate about a possible matchup between the two at Fastlane 2023. However, it remains to be seen if the fan-proposed match indeed takes place; if it does, it will be a treat to watch.
