The WWE women’s division went through an evolution in the 21st century after names such as Nikki Bella and Lita rose to prominence. Starting primarily to impress the audience, the women soon started proving why they deserved equal places with the men in the division. The Bella Twins, Nikki Bella, and Brie Bella are the perfect example of women who could rule and run the division.
Their WWE debut came in 2008 in a very cryptic manner for the audience. WWE had originally planned for Brie Bella to appear on screen while Nikki Bella stayed away from the limelight until Natalya and Victoria exposed their secret. The Bella Twins then went ahead to perform both in singles and tag team matches.
Almost a decade later, the two sisters took a break from the world of professional wrestling for personal reasons. The twins are now mothers and entrepreneurs who host multiple shows. This is what keeps The Bella Twins busy for most of the time after quitting WWE.
Nikki Bella and Brie Bella’s WWE contracts expired in 2023. They took to their ‘The Nikki & Brie Show’ to reveal that the former stars of the Stamford-based promotion have dropped the name ‘Bella’ and will continue the new chapters of their lives with the second name of ‘Garcia.’ Their social media accounts also boast of the new name that the duo has adopted.
When did Nikki Bella and Brie Bella last appear in WWE?
Nikki and Brie Bella’s WWE appearances gradually started declining during 2018. This made it clear to them that there was no scope for growth for them inside the WWE ring. On the other hand, the duo focused on building their families and spending time with their loved ones. Eventually, they called it a quit.
It has been a long time since Nikki Bella and Brie Bella last appeared in the WWE arena. The two made their way to the WWE Royal Rumble 2022 and participated in the women’s Royal Rumble match. However, neither of the two was able to walk away as the winner of the iconic match.
However, their career run in WWE did not end before attaining a massive milestone. Both Brie Bella and Nikki Bella made it to the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2020. The duo claimed that they’d never join WWE again as The Bella Twins. However, the WWE ring has given a lot to both stars, for which they are still thankful.
