UFC 289 is headed to Vancouver, Canada whereas one of the most popular commentators in UFC, Joe Rogan will stay back. According to recent reports, the podcaster is going to miss the next PPV event.
And this will not be the first time that the commentator will miss out on an important UFC event. Rogan has not attended many UFC events in the past as well, mostly the ones which were scheduled out of North America. A reason for this can be Rogan’s other commitments such as being a podcaster, a comedian, and more.
UFC 289 commentators revealed
Paul Felder will fill in for Rogan. Felder has substituted Rogan multiple times in the past as well when Rogan was not able to be a commentator for the UFC events.
Felder will be accompanied by his fellow longtime skilled commentator Jon Anik. The former two-division champion Daniel Cormier will also put on the hat of a commentator, being the color commentator.
These commentators will be accompanied by Megan Olivi. Olivi is a UFC correspondent and journalist, who will look after the reporting duties. Along with these, Din Thomas will be a coach-analyst of the team.
The UFC 289 event will feature some action-packed bouts from which fans have high expectations. Irene Aldana will face off against Amanda Nunes for the women’s bantamweight title in the main event.
On the other hand, the co-main event will feature a potential title match between Charles Oliveria and Beneil Dariush.
Joe Rogan gets slammed for using the N-word by various celebrities
Joe Rogan is a man who is very well-renowned around the world. Hence every word that comes out of his mouth goes through the ears of thousands, if not Millions, of his fans. But many of his fans, and even people who were not his fans got upset over Rogan using the N-word.
It was first pointed out by Samuel L. Jackson, a legendary face in Hollywood. Jackson addressed this in his interview with The Times. “Say that you’re sorry because you want to keep your money, but you were having fun and you say you did it because it was entertaining.”
To this, Rogan publically apologized to end the matter. But it seems that Rogan’s comments are not yet done with getting him in trouble.
The former WBC heavyweight Tyson Fury called out Rogan for his ill comments. Following Fury, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry considered some comments made by Rogan on the late Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka very mean.
Hence, Joe Rogan is a man who is always wrapped around in one controversy or the other.
