SUMMARY
- WWE Royal Rumble 2024 has been an exceptional event from start to end.
- In a surprise for the fans, WWE took a dig at All Elite Wrestling's CEO during Royal Rumble 2024.
WWE Royal Rumble 2024 was one of the most hyped editions of the PLE, and it’s safe to say that it didn’t disappoint. From start to finish, the show was fascinating, but there was a moment from the January 27 event when the CEO of the Triple H-led promotion’s rival company, AEW, Tony Khan, was mentioned.
This unexpected thing happened during the Logan Paul vs. Kevin Owens match at the premium live event, when Nick Khan was spotted in the audience. As the TKO board member was sitting in the front row, fans took note of his presence.
In fact, a WWE broadcaster also made good use of this moment and trolled AEW’s president through a tweet. In what was something nobody saw coming, the X handle of WWE on TNT Sports did this while posting about Nick’s appearance.

Posting Nick‘s picture while taking a dig at the Jacksonville-based promotion’s CEO, they wrote, “There’s only room for one Khan in this business.” It was surely an unexpected moment for the fans, and it coming from the official handle of a broadcaster was even more surprising.
Fans react to the WWE broadcaster’s dig at Tony Khan
While it was surprising to see WWE on TNT Sports taking a dig at Tony Khan, the way fans have reacted to it is also interesting. Reminding what the AEW CEO did when there was a previous social media war between the two companies, someone wrote, “We know what happened the last time a tv network did this, get ready for another Tony Khan meltdown on twitter.”
Claiming how the AEW President might hit X like he usually does for hitting back at the people trolling him, a pro wrestling enthusiast said, “Get ready for the other one to hit Twitter like a mad man.” “Aew loyalist get the shields out, this is war!,” another fan commented while telling All Elite Wrestling fans to get ready to showcase their loyalty for the pro wrestling organization. Looking at the way the fans’ have been mentioning Tony’s past social media feuds, it seems they’re ready for another such saga. But will the Jacksonville-based promotion’s CEO really do something like that again? We’ll probably get to know about it in the near future. Moreover, it’ll be interesting to see if he really responds to the comments against him on social media in his style or not.
