SUMMARY
- Jayden Daniels is preparing for the 2024 NFL draft.
- However, Daniels refused to perform in the NFL 2024 combines.
Jayden Daniels is one of the numerous young talents that college football has brought to the attention of fans. The quarterback, born in December 2000, has gained a lot of fans thanks to his abilities. In 2019, he started playing football for Arizona State University. But after enrolling at Louisiana State University the same year, he has since won the Heisman Trophy.
In 2023, Jayden Daniels won the Heisman Trophy over Michael Penix Jr. of the University of Washington. Notably, the quarterback is now only the second player from LSU to get the esteemed honor. NFL player Joe Burrow won it in 2019 before him. Brian Kelly, the head coach of the LSU standout, expressed his joy at Daniels’ victory on X.
He is prepared to enter the 2024 NFL draft pool and start his professional career after an amazing season. With a 95.7 QBR this season, he led all college football players. It was one of his best seasons as an LSU Tigers in recent memory. In addition, he completed 236 of 327 passes (72.2%) for 3,812 yards and 40 throwing touchdowns against only four interceptions.

In contrast to Nix and Penix Jr., two other Heisman-nominated quarterbacks, Jayden Daniels will not be throwing at the 2024 NFL Combine. Daniels doesn’t need to throw at the NFL Combine. Rather than attend LSU’s pro day, he has chosen to toss on March 27. As a result, Jayden will have a comfortable setting to demonstrate his skills to scouts.
Jayden Daniels wants to join the Raiders of Antonio Pierce
At the NFL Scouting Combine, the Las Vegas Raiders are in full force and have already scheduled meetings with some top quarterback prospects. Jayden Daniels, the Heisman Trophy winner and former great quarterback for LSU, is among the first quarterbacks the team has faced.
Because head coach Antonio Pierce served as Daniels’ recruiting coordinator at Arizona State before his transfer to LSU, Daniels has been connected to the Raiders on multiple occasions. While talking about the upcoming draft, Daniels talked about working with Pierce. “On draft day, if I hear my phone ring and it’s AP, I don’t know what I would do,” said Jayden.

Pierce is intimately acquainted with the young quarterback and has nothing but praise for him. Daniels proved that Pierce’s early evaluation of him was accurate, as he became one of the top players in college football. Pierce will have to trade up to get him if he wants him because it is unlikely that he will go past the No. 3 pick in the draft.
