On Monday Night RAW, WWE aired footage of a backstage brawl between Logan Paul and Ricochet following their ladder match at the Money in the Bank premium live event. On live TV, Ricochet challenged Logan to show up on the following week’s broadcast.
Logan Paul claims he didn’t plan to brawl with Ricochet following his defeat at WWE Money in the Bank. According to Paul, Ricochet “blew the f*cking match” and called him unprofessional. Despite this, Ricochet extended an invitation for a face-to-face confrontation with Logan Paul on WWE RAW, possibly setting the stage for a WWE Summer Slam match between the pair.
The Ricochet/Logan Paul Spanish Fly table spot at #MITB was supposed to be the “viral moment” and lead to a match between the two.
However the spot didn’t go as smooth as planned, which is why WWE decided to film a backstage brawl.

Expectations are now high for a Logan vs. Ricochet face-off at Summer Slam 2023. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio stated that the cause of the brawl was a failed execution of Logan and Ricochet’s Spanish Fly spot in the ladder match.
What went wrong with Logan Paul and Ricochet’s table spot at WWE MITB?
A failed stunt during the WWE Money in the Bank match between Logan Paul and Ricochet altered the course of the match. The incident involved a Spanish Fly maneuver and tables which did not execute as intended.
As per Logan Paul, at one point in the match, both fighters stood on opposite sides of a ladder. LA Knight pushed them off with the intention that they would land on the top rope, springboard off, and crash into tables on the outside. However, they lost balance, and instead, they repositioned themselves and leaped directly into the tables from the second rope. (Via Post wrestling)
The error in the Spanish Fly maneuver resulted in Logan Paul experiencing an unnatural landing on his neck and shoulders as he crashed through the table. It also led to a cut across his shoulder. The misfired stunt originally planned that while falling off a ladder, Ricochet would successfully perform a Springboard Spanish Fly on Logan Paul, crashing through two tables at ringside.
Whatever the circumstances, Logan Paul reflected on the incident with relief, stating he emerged relatively unhurt. It’s essential to note that professional wrestling is a physically rigorous and unpredictable sport where accidents and botches can unexpectedly occur during matches.
