The 2023 season saw the absence of the most controversial tennis player in recent times. Nick Kyrgios has been missing the action on tour for a while now. He could not make the news on the court with his racket-breaking or swearing. Kyrgios is planning to return on tour next year, and while some fans are happy with his return, others are not too keen on it. He has already received backlash on Twitter for his views.
This time, Juan Ignacio posted a picture showing the number of players ranked in the top fifty in both singles and doubles. There were thirteen players from the WTA tour and one from the ATP tour. Kyrgios stepped in, saying the stat didn’t exist last year when he played well.
Fans hit back by saying, “The most insecure tennis player in the world,” Not everything is about you, Nick! Stay home & stay off the internet dude”. Kyrgios will be keen to answer once he is back on tour.
Funny this stat didn’t exist last year when I was playing healthy 😂

The most insecure tennis player in the world…Out of the limelight, so needs to keep inserting himself in the discussion.

Kyrgios recently reacted with emojis to a post that showed Novak Djokovic’s impressive record against other players on tour. He has been good friends with the Serbian and has beaten him twice on tour.
Maybe Novak Djokovic can help Kyrgios with the game’s mental aspects, as he needs extra support to get back in shape and start winning matches again.
Nick Kyrgios needs to bring back 2022 season form
It has been a long time since Kyrgios won a match on tour. His last victory came in Tokyo, defeating Kamil Majchrzak in three sets. It has been ten months since that match. He will have to wait a few more months to register another win. Kyrgios has been receiving backlash on X (formerly known as Twitter), and the only way he can answer is to secure victories on the court.
The 28-year-old also qualified for the 2022 Nitto ATP finals in doubles alongside Thanasi Kokkinakis. It was his last victory in doubles after defeating Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek in the round-robin stage.
Since December 2022, Kyrgios has not played in a doubles match. This year he planned to play with Jack Sock at the US Open, but injuries prevented him from playing.
Kyrgios will not be worried about the hate comments on X as he will continue to express his opinions. His return to tennis will surely be entertaining.
The fans can bring down the hate once the former world No.13 starts to swing rackets on the court. Kyrgios may not be the perfect tennis player, but he has constantly provided entertainment on the court.
