Novak Djokovic is one of the biggest names in the tennis world. The Serbian star has had a flourishing career, winning several ATP titles and 23 Grand Slams so far. Therefore it is not surprising that Djokovic has decimated players on the path to glory. He has an unbelievable record, one which drew even Nick Kyrgios’ attention.
Recently, Vansh, a commentator and analyst, posted Djokovic’s statistics online. The tennis legend holds an impressive record of 198-0 wins over his fellow tennis players.
These numbers were correlated against 26 retired and active players. Only those players were considered who have played a minimum of 5 games against Djokovic.

This list includes well-known names like Gael Monfils, who has lost to Novak in all their 19 matchups. It also includes top-ranked ATP players like Casper Ruud (5-0), and Taylor Fritz (7-0). Milos Raonic (12-0) is another popular player that features on the list.
Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios is very active on social media. Kyrgios is notorious for taking digs at others online. This time he took the opportunity to respond with a couple of emojis.

It is unclear if these numbers genuinely impressed Kyrgios. Or it may have been his chance to remind everyone he has defeated Novak in the past. The two players have played against each other 3 times. Out of the three times, Kyrgios has won twice.
A synopsis of Novak Djokovic vs. Nick Kyrgios
Kyrgios is actually one of the few players who leads Novak in their matchups. However, both his wins came against Novak in 2017 when the latter was recovering from an elbow injury.
Nick won their first encounter at Acapulco. They locked horns in the quarter-finals and a spirited Kyrgios defeated the Serb by 7-6, 7-5. Kyrgios then followed it up with another win at Indian Wells. They met in the Round of 16 when Kyrgios meted out a similar result, defeating Djokovic by 6-4, 7-6.
Djokovic and Kyrgios finally played against each other in 2022, at the Wimbledon Final. Novak finally got to avenge his previous two losses on one of the biggest stages.

It turned out to be an exciting four-set encounter. Kyrgios did, however, manage to take a set off Djokovic in the final. It was Novak’s fourth successive Wimbledon trophy and 21st Slam overall.
The duo is not the closest of friends on the circuit. Kyrgios’ criticism of the Adria Tour did not sit well with Novak Djokovic. But Kyrgios also stood up for Novak when he was deported from Australia.
Nick Kyrgios is currently recovering from several injuries and will sit out for the remainder of the tennis season. Novak is currently playing at the Cincinnati Open.
