The WWE-UFC merger ignited a spark amongst the fans as well as the employees. With the signing of the deal, the gates opened to two outcomes. Either both promotions would turn into something massive, or both would lose their individuality and put their employees at risk.
After TKO Group came into being, fans couldn’t hide their excitement as they awaited bigger things to happen. They might happen too in the future, but currently, the deal has put the WWE stars at risk. “The company will begin post-Endeavor acquisition layoffs,” PWInsider confirmed the message coming from Nick Khan.
A historic day. The most exciting time in our industry that I’ve ever been a part of.

The employees had been asked to work from home, leaving the Human Resource team in privacy to carry out their decisions. This Saturday morning may not turn out to be the best one for many stars in both promotions following TKO’s decision. “We have nothing but gratitude and admiration for everyone we have had the privilege to work alongside,” concluded Nick in his memo.
Endeavor’s CEO, Ari Emanuel, had already helped the stars prepare after announcing cuts in order to remove the redundancies in the form of employees and their talents.
While many people would have prepared themselves for the same, there are fans who couldn’t completely heal from the cuts that WWE suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst the nail-biting situation running around in the company, the decision solely lies in the hands of the management.
What other changes are expected after the WWE-UFC merger?
The much-hyped WWE-UFC merger will not be a mere merger but will change a lot of things that have their place in WWE and UFC. WrestleOps took to X to reveal the inside news from BWE and brought out a few of these changes. You can check out the tweet below:
Per BWE: There is an opinion being discussed for a whole new titles scheme in WWE.

“There is an opinion being discussed for a whole new titles scheme in WWE,” it wrote. WWE enthusiasts have often pointed out the need for new titles after the unification of the WWE and the Universal Championship. Despite the introduction of the World Heavyweight Championship, a packed roster demands other titles to give valuable storylines to the stars.
In addition to this, the women’s division also wanted a midcard title, which might be introduced after the merger. “Revamps. New names. Weight classes. Trios,” added WrestleOps. Adding weight classes to WWE would justify the merger in the best possible way. However, it is unknown how the audience will absorb the changes.
Ultimately, it is in the hands of the audience to make or break a plan. The TKO Group must be striving hard to captivate the audience. However, only time will reveal if the Endeavor deal has actually fallen in their favor.
