Kelly Oubre Jr., a Philadelphia 76ers guard, was struck by a car outside his Center City home on November 11 and was taken to the hospital. The most devastating news for his supporters is that, although his injuries are not anticipated to be season-ending, Oubre will require “significant time” off while he recovers, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski late on 11th November.
On the other hand, something quite spooky happened on X(formerly Twitter) when a fan posted a day before Kelly’s accident that, ” Kelly Oubre Jr. Can’t score 11 points !? F**king b*m get hit by a car.” Fast-forward to a day later that is exactly what happened. His prediction turned out to be bang on and fans cannot get over it.
Local police are looking into the collision, and Oubre is accompanied by team personnel, according to ESPN, which quotes a team spokesman. Kelly was just getting comfortable on the Sixers’ squad, so this event happened at the worst possible time.

Kelly Oubre Jr. replaced P.J Tucker in the Sixers’ squad this season
Traded player James Harden wasn’t playing for the Sixers, therefore his influence on the Sixers rotation at the time was minimal. However, P.J. Tucker, one of the players added to the deal, opened up a spot in the starting lineup. Replacing Tucker’s output is not that tough since he was not putting up much.

Kelly Oubre Jr. saw this opportunity and snapped it up. He replaced P.J. Tucker in the starting lineup and made the position his own. He is quite a competitor and gives his all during the matches. His Never-Give-Up approach is what makes him an asset to the Sixers’ Squad.
Oubre and Tucker are two completely different players. Tucker didn’t contribute much on the court. He did, however, offer defense and tenacity. It’s not like Oubre brings much to the defense. Rather, he makes a significant contribution as a scorer.
