At the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam this week, a match between Jon Moxley and Rey Fenix took place for the AEW International Championship. However, as per the latest update, it seems that Moxley might have suffered an injury during the match.
As per reports, the finish of the match wasn’t supposed to turn out the way it did. Following the match, Moxley didn’t seem to be in a good state. The medics rushed out to take a look. However, he had the ability to walk backstage on his own.
PWInsider reported that doctors checked Moxley for a good amount of time. It has been reported that the AEW Star might have suffered a concussion. This might have happened when Fenix nailed the first Piledriver.

However, the unplanned finish concerned everyone. Tony Khan also seemed worried, as he went on to check on Moxley just after the match. Meanwhile, Bryan Alvarez has reported that the finish was indeed unplanned and Moxley was hurt, but to everyone’s relief, he is reportedly alright.

Toward the end, Fenix nailed a Piledriver and went for a second one to win the championship. Thus, Rey Fenix became the new AEW International Champion.
