The Toronto Raptors hosted the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA and what a stunning finish it was from Kyrie Irving to make it 5 wins in a row for the Nets, this season. The team from Brooklyn is on a season-high consecutive win with 5 after their win in Toronto. The Nets beat the Raptors 119-116 on Friday night, thanks to the buzzer-beater 3 from Uncle Drew.

A third-quarter resurgence from the Nets propelled them to a stunning finish which rewarded their efforts. Kyrie managed to score 32 points on the night out of which he scored 15 of them in the last quarter. Kyrie will be delighted with his effort on his first-ever buzzer-beater win. Kevin Durant scored 28 points on the night.

The Raptors guard Fred VanVleet had 39 points on the night, he was unfortunate to cap off the game with the win after such a performance. The Raptors fans on the other hand were not having the dagger 3 from Kyrie. The Raptors fans felt cheated after the referee failed to caution Kyrie for his game-winning 3-pointer. Fans have taken to Twitter to voice their concerns.

Its the NBA they dont call travels….

— Gowan Colley (@stranganimal) December 17, 2022

yea because refs would call that a travel

Traveling.

In today’s standards, many referees do not call travel violations against players. The reason is that it is difficult to get it right throughout. Even good referees fail to get the calls accurate, it takes up a lot of time to review them. It can be 100% legit and sometimes it isn’t, but it is difficult to call it in real-time. It is the general rule in the NBA to let the game flow, as it keeps the game more exciting without much interruption.

Kyrie Irving’s stats against Toronto Raptors last night

Last night Kyrie put up one of his better performances this season with 32 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds. Kyrie this season is averaging 25.3 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game according to ESPN. Irving put up a performance to remember to keep Brooklyn Nets’ winning streak intact. The Nets are now on a 5 game roll and will play the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.

Kyrie Irving has been on the news a lot since the pandemic. After initially getting suspended from Nike for his anti-semitic remarks, Nike and Irving parted ways following a mutual agreement per Irving’s agent. Kyrie broke the silence after he lost $11 million from the Nike deal. Kyrie will be without a shoe endorser for now and is a “free agent” in the world of sneakers. Reports are, New Balance could sign the Nets star.
