UFC Austin is just around the corner and the card is filled with some amazing fights. One such fight between Veronica Hardy and Jamey-Lyn North would be opening the preliminary card. Furthermore, this will be a very challenging fight for Hardy as Jamey is an undefeated prospect. Recently, Veronica Hardy joined the MMA Hour to talk about her upcoming match with Ariel Helwani.
Hardy discussed various topics including how she met her husband Dan Hardy, her fighting approach, and her future in the sport. When Ariel asks her if she agrees with Dan when he says that she could beat the champion, Veronica gives a very humble reply.

“I think he’s very optimistic about my skills. Honestly, I don’t look that far,” said Veronica. Furthermore, she said that at this point she’s just happy to train and fight. However, Helwani again asked her if she was trying to avoid coming across as cocky to champion, Alexa Grasso.
“No, no I’m being completely honest. I’ve had 2 wins in the UFC and 4 losses, I’m not just gonna be like yeah, I’m a new person, I could beat everybody,” said Veronica Hardy. Furthermore, Veronica said, “I don’t have that much confidence on myself,” regarding her training. However, she believes that her confidence will develop with time and with some good victories in the octagon.
Veronica Hardy is coming off a unanimous decision win over TUF alumni, Juliana Miller. She would be looking to continue this streak against the Canadian, Jamey-Lyn North.
Veronica Hardy claims that Ian Garry has been kicked out of multiple gyms in the UK
In an interview with The AllStar, Veronica shared her opinion about the Leon Edwards-Ian Garry drama that’s been going on for a while. Just like Leon and Ian, Veronica Hardy said that she frequently trains at the Team Renegade gym. Furthermore, she revealed a surprising detail about Team Renegade and Ian Garry.
“He’s (Ian Garry) the only person to have ever been kicked out of Renegade,” said Hardy. Furthermore, she also revealed that Garry has been banned from multiple gyms in the UK for not following their basic rules. She explained three basic rules that ‘The Future‘ fails to follow in every gym.
“Be respectful, show up on time, don’t be spreading gossip about other people,” said Veronica. Apart from that she revealed that Ian Garry annoyed her by talking sh*t about the UFC welterweight champion, Leon Edwards. However, she believes that it’s not Ian but the people around him that are negatively influencing him.
While Hardy did not take any names she was talking about Ian’s wife Layla Anna-Lee. Furthermore, she also claimed that Ian was having trouble with his team since his days in Cage Warriors. In conclusion, it looks like Garry has always had attitude problems when it comes to getting along with his gym mates.
