With multiple ups and down in the promotion, MJF has kept the excitement alive in the hearts of the AEW Universe with his promos. A great trash talker, he knows what the fans demand and thus doesn’t fail to keep up with their expectations. Recently, he called out WWE for their bookings and talents, leaving everyone stunned.
MJF and Samoa Joe have spent valuable time together in the ring as teammates as well as rivals. This makes the promo involving the two all the more hyped. The two will now face off for the AEW World Championship at the World’s End pay per view. In his latest promo for Joe, MJF praised the former AEW TNT Champion and even went ahead to take digs at WWE as a whole.
On the recent edition of AEW Dynamite, MJF spoke for the former WWE star for his poor bookings in the Stamford-based promotion. After praising Samoa Joe for his contributions to the world of professional wrestling, Friedman said, “His talents weren’t fully recognized, and he wasn’t afforded the opportunity to be a world champion in WWE,” calling out WWE.
However, his statements did not perfectly align with reality. During his stint with the Triple H-led promotion, Samoa Joe left a remarkable impact on the fans. Though he had failed to win any major championships, Joe had been a consistent contender for the same. However, his career after WWE earned him much success and he went on to become a two-time TNT Champion at AEW.
MJF is open to joining WWE
As per his current contract with AEW, MJF is just a month away from its expiration. With no concrete update on his future after this, fans are hopeful to see him in the WWE ring. The AEW World Champion has also shown an inclination towards the promotion on multiple occasions. This further heightens speculation about his debut.
“If Vincent Kennedy McMahon is willing to shell out more money than my good friend Tony Khan, then yes, I would go to WWE,” said MJF once. Calling it the “bidding war of 2024,” it appears that Triple H would be interested in signing the AEW star and bringing much of the audience to WWE. MJF, too, doesn’t hold himself back from teasing the audience with his statements.

“When I get the opportunity to wrestle the best bout machine. Kenny Omega, it tends to sway my opinions a little bit,” he said. This clearly explains that he has much of an inclination to join WWE. With stars such as CM Punk and Cody Rhodes now a part of WWE, it is expected that he too will join them in the near future.
