Ever since making his return to professional wrestling in 2016, Goldberg has competed in several matches as a part-time performer in WWE. However, it can’t be denied that he could not give his 100% due to being way past his prime. The former WCW champion was also heavily criticized for his sloppy wrestling style in his 50s. There were several instances when he suffered injuries and inadvertently injured his opponents as well.
Meanwhile, after the expiration of his WWE contract in 2023, Bill Goldberg is officially a free agent and has not signed with any other promotion yet as per reports. During his time outside of wrestling, the former multi-time Universal champion is up to farming and other household stuff as well. In his recent Instagram post, Goldberg revealed his bleeding head wound due to a truck accident.

Considering the caption on his post, the terrible accident occurred while farming somewhere in Texas. He also mentioned “Shooting Range” in one of his hashtags. Following the post, Goldberg spoke to TMZ about the bloody head. He told TMZ that the wound was nothing serious, describing it to be all “just a flesh wound”.
Considering the statement made by Goldberg, the injury from the tractor accident doesn’t seem serious. Also, he was able to talk with a conscious mind. Moreover, whatever the case may be, fans manifested their concern over the bleeding head. And are praying for his speedy recovery. Nonetheless, this is not the first instance where fans saw Goldberg bleeding, as he has bled multiple times while inside the squared circle.
Goldberg wants another WWE match before he retires
In 2016, Goldberg made his long-awaited return to the WWE. Even in his 50s, the former WCW champion went on to have a nearly six-year run with the WWE, winning multiple titles as well. At Elimination Chamber 2022, Goldberg had his last match against Roman Reigns for the Universal title, which he lost. Over a year after his last match, his contract ran out and WWE reportedly refused to resign with Goldberg.
Nonetheless, the 56-year-old recently stated in an interview with Sports Illustrated that he deserves a match before retiring. “You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one,” Goldberg said. “That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match. At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call,” Goldberg said.
Furthermore, ever since Triple H took over the creative control in July 2022, Goldberg hasn’t appeared on WWE TV at all. And he will reportedly sign with another promotion to have a final run in his wrestling career.
