SUMMARY
- Red Bull celebrated their 2023 season, while Mercedes held onto second place until the end. Ferrari had a tough season with many challenges.
- Leclerc's consistent pole positions didn't prevent him from dropping down positions, which was unfortunate for the team.
As of 2023, Charles Leclerc has made a huge impact on the sport as he gains popularity not just for his good looks but also his capabilities to bring a team like Ferrari good results despite the horrible strategies pulled by them. However, Fred Vasseur seems to have a Christmas gift for the Monegasque who faced major ups and downs because of the SF23.
While Red Bull had a grand celebration for their 2023 season and Mercedes held their spot in second until the very last minute, it seems that Ferrari did not quite enjoy the many trials that they had to face in a single season.
Having to watch their star driver, Leclerc dropping down positions after consistently getting the team pole positions was not only their 2023 bingo card but it sure happened more than they wished for it to. But as they walk into the 2024 season, the team boss has new plans to secure Leclerc’s race win and a possible championship victory.
Charles Leclerc enjoys a Christmas gift to help his 2024 season
Charles Leclerc has made a great image this season based solely on his incredible drive to bring the team better results. His loyalty to the Monza team and the red race suit has been noted as he sticks with the team to bring them back to the top and hopefully watch the Prancing Horse team win a championship.

While this season, Ferrari enjoyed a race win thanks to their consistent and genius driver, Carlos Sainz, Leclerc has been the one to struggle to bring the team podiums. However, after the technical issues that left the Monegasque being overtaken by a rookie Lawson in an AlphaTauri, Ferrari knew they needed to pull all the strings.
As they approach the 2024 season, their desperation to win more races and a championship like Red Bull is in full swing. After confirming the race-winner, Sainz, and his teammate’s active role in developing the car for 2024, they are now pulling out all the big guns.
Fred Vasseur has now revealed that Ferrari has plans to change 95% of the components to enhance and hopefully produce a great car and a great season after a sad season. With a great Christmas gift in hand, the Monegasque and the Spaniard will have a lot to prove in 2024.
Charles Leclerc not worried about his contract extension
While teams like Mercedes and Red Bull have secured their drivers for the next few seasons, Ferrari has not mentioned any talks of a contract extension or having signed both their drivers for the next few seasons. Although there have been rumors about Leclerc receiving a car as a gift for signing a contract extension of 5 years, there has been no official statement on it.
the Monegasque, on the contrary, is not worried about his contract extension at all. He said, “We are not in a rush to extend the deals but have started discussions. Mercedes did it in August.”

He hopes to have a few years with the Monza team but is rather laid back about his future in F1. Nonetheless, he has a much bigger role to play in the development for next year and hopefully gain back what he lost this season.
