With Formula 1’s 2023 season ending, the FIA launched an investigation on Susie Wolff, the Managing Director for F1 Academy, but with the recent statement from the President, Ben Sulayem, it seems like Toto Wolff is the reason for the allegations made against his wife and the director, Susie Wolff.
Until now, F1 has seen one of the biggest scandals blow up yet again, after having survived the entire season with fewer complications if not any. However, according to the FIA, Susie Wolff may have shared confidential information with Toto Wolff about the 2024 cost cap which launched the investigation into Wolff.
Toto Wolff takes the blame for Suzie Wolff’s investigation
Formula 1 recently talked about wanting more teams to join the sport. However, their focus has completely been on Andretti, and they have also rejected one of the interested teams just to give the last spot that is open to Andretti. Nonetheless, many have raised their opinions about having more teams and dates on the calendar.
One of the team bosses was unhappy with the FIA’s decision to have Andretti on board and made it clear during the F1 season. After the statements that the Mercedes team boss made, Ben Sulayem voiced his feelings according to an insider, saying he was not at all happy with Toto’s statements and opinions.

However, now it seems that the investigation that first started on Susie Wolff after a team boss anonymously reported that she had been sharing crucial information with Toto Wolff. While the Managing Director of F1 Academy came out with her statement about the entire issue and called out FIA for their “misogynistic” accusations, all the blame has been shifted to Ben Sulayem.
What first started as a serious investigation and accusation passed on, quickly turned into a personal matter after reports from an insider confirmed an argument taking place between Mercedes team boss and the F1 President.
Toto Wolff voices his opinion about Andretti’s move
Andretti Global recently was said to be in the talks of joining Formula 1 on the favoritism of the FIA and their wanting the last team to enter to be Andretti and have a seat in the sport. While drivers like Max Verstappen and more talked about having too many teams on the tracks, Toto Wolff was clearly against having Andretti in F1.
He said, “We are something like the Champions League, you not only have to be willing to pay the 200 million entry fee, you also have to create added value for the FIA and teams… You probably need more than a billion”.
