WWE aims to secure LA Knight for the long term, while Drew McIntyre’s contract situation presents a completely different scenario. According to PWInsider, WWE is either in the final stages of finalizing a “long-term contract” with Knight or has already signed the rising star to a new deal that could extend his tenure with the company for another five years.
On the flip side, McIntyre has not yet renewed his contract with WWE, as reported by PWInsider. Meanwhile, other high-profile stars like Seth Rollins and The Miz are approaching the expiration of their contracts. (Via: ComicBook)

The report also disclosed that WWE is currently prioritizing its impending merger with Endeavor and UFC, which means there has been no progress on extending a contract for ‘The Scottish Warrior’ at this point.
“I keep reading the internet myself. I just saw something earlier. The internet keeps talking about my future, I guess. But my focus is on the here and now, “ he told The Hindustan Times during WWE’s tour of India.
“My job right now is just making sure we give everybody in Hyderabad the best show possible, and I’ll continue to give the best performance I can give at every show … I don’t plan to be anywhere else, ” He further added.
Since his comeback in July, McIntyre has expressed contentment with his WWE role and emphasized his concentration on the immediate rather than long-term prospects.
Has WWE extended Drew McIntyre’s contract?
During Money in the Bank on July 1, Drew McIntyre made his WWE comeback, marking his return since WrestleMania. In the lead-up to the event, reports indicated that his appearance was quite uncertain, as there was little internal anticipation of his return to UK soil.
During McIntyre’s absence from WWE television, there were reports suggesting that he had not yet committed to a new contract with the company. It was expected that his current deal would conclude before the end of 2023.
Moreover, there were reports indicating his dissatisfaction with the creative direction of his character, with both creative choices and financial considerations playing significant roles in his decision regarding contract renewal.
During a press conference following Money in the Bank, Triple H disclosed that McIntyre had been managing an injury during his absence, although specific details were not elaborated upon.
Earlier reports had suggested that WWE might extend Drew McIntyre’s contract because of his injury, and it appears they have indeed taken this step. According to PWInsider Elite, WWE has extended McIntyre’s contract to cover the period he was absent earlier this year, and he is now said to be committed to the company until around the time of WrestleMania 40.
