Daniele posted a video on Instagram featuring UFC CEO Dana White. The caption of the video claimed, “Dana White said if this video gets 10,000 comments he will announce UFC 300 Main Event this week or we get to oil him up!”
Oiling up Dana White is regarding a meme about the UFC CEO. On the other hand, the video received almost 20,000 comments in over an hour. We can expect an announcement on the milestone PPV card’s main event soon.
Fight line-ups at previous UFC PPVs and the potential fight line-up at UFC 300
Dana White and the UFC have had a similar range of fights in the last 10 UFC PPVs. As stated in a comment by @jedigoodman on X, here are the number of fights at the previous UFC PPVs, “297 – 12, 296 – 12, 295 – 13, 294 – 13, 293 – 12, 292 – 12, 291 – 11, 290 – 13, 289 – 11, 288 – 12, 287 – 12.”
As you can see, most of the PPVs have consisted of 12 fights, although these exclude the canceled bouts. 11 fights for UFC 300 have already been announced. The main event of the milestone PPV is yet to be announced but one can argue that there could also be one or two fights more. However, considering just the main event is left, how would the fight card look?
The main event would make it 12 fights. Here are the recent # of bouts per numbered event.

We are looking at three Early Preliminary Card fights, four Preliminary Card fights, and five Main Card fights. Three Early Prelims could be – a Featherweight bout between Sodiq Yusuff and Diego Lopes, a women’s strawweight bout between Jéssica Andrade and Marina Rodriguez, and a lightweight bout between Bobby Green vs. Jim Miller.
According to the board behind White in Daniele’s video, the four fights excluding the main event on the UFC 300 Main Card would be – the BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje (c) and Max Holloway, a Women’s Strawweight Championship match between Zhang Weili (c) and Yan Xiaonan, #1 contender fight between Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan, and a light heavyweight fight between Jiří Procházka and Aleksandar Rakić.
A surprise could be that former PFL champion Kayla Harrison‘s awaited debut might be in the prelims. Along with that, Aljamain Sterling‘s featherweight debut could also be featured in the prelims. Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage
and Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt are the other possible prelim fights.
Slot open for Conor McGregor to feature at the milestone UFC PPV
Conor McGregor has not stepped into the Octagon since July 2021. His comeback is long overdue. Initially, he was supposed to make a comeback in 2023. However, it has consecutively been delayed and June 29, 2024, seemed to be the D-day.
McGregor is looking to fight Michael Chandler. The pair confirmed a middleweight bout at UFC International Fight Week. White, on the other hand, has not confirmed as such.

Moreover, there are rumors of new weight classes to be introduced in the UFC men’s division. It is believed that McGregor and Chandler could fight for the title at one of the new weight classes. Both fighters have taken to X to tease a UFC 300 encounter. However, only time and Dana White will tell who features in the UFC 300 main event.
