“WWE higher ups told Fightful Select and top talent that the company is not currently in talks with CM Punk about a WWE return,” wrote Sean Ross Sapp on his X handle. With two possibilities equally strong, only time will reveal if Chicago becomes all the more special for CM Punk and the WWE Universe.
Is WWE trying to hide CM Punk’s WWE return?
Considering the buildup created by the fans for his probable return, Triple H may be compelled to get the 45-year-old star back to the business. However, the WWE creative is well known for causing the unexpected. CM Punk’s return may be one of the biggest returns of the year and Triple H won’t let go of the golden opportunity in such a manner.
It won’t be incorrect to assume that Punk’s return is denied in order to keep the fans hyped up. “Oh, how transparent and trustworthy of WWE management to outright deny CM Punk’s appearance,” wrote one fan on X. “That’s exactly what someone who’s trying to keep CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series a secret would say ,” wrote another.
“We should see the VISUAL SUSPECTS!” another fan wrote, expecting him at the Survivor Series. “they’re doing they’re trying to keep it a secret to surprise us,” wrote another fan, keeping the hopes of the WWE Universe alive. With this being said, there are still high hopes that the former AEW star will take the audience into a frenzy with his appearance at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.
