Survivor Series might be where CM Punk makes his dreamy return to WWE after almost 9 years. Numerous reports regarding his return have generated a lot of buzz in the WWE Universe. The company itself has dropped many hints over the months, hinting at his much-awaited return. It is interesting to note that Punk himself hasn’t talked about it anywhere.
Fans are getting their hopes higher each day as new reports and statements are provided on his return. Fightful Selected reported earlier that CM Punk’s return might not happen. They stated that no one backstage wants it to happen, and it is almost impossible to see him back. Despite facing a lot of heat for his statements, Sean Ross Sapp stated that he hasn’t talked to Punk directly and is only doing his job.
Another huge update on his return has been provided by Dave Meltzer in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He wrote about how there has been a lot of negativity backstage about Punk’s return to the company. He further stated that they may do it for the sake of fans. Meltzer further concluded that WWE might be keeping his return a secret despite denying it.
“From the start, we were told that while there is negativity about Punk. They are not completely opposed to it if the idea is it’s something they have to do in regard to fan response,” wrote Dave. He further stated, “Those close to the situation have denied it, but it is possible it’s a well-kept secret”.

Various reports have suggested that Punk will not return to the WWE. Despite the reports, fans have massive expectations for the event and will surely be upset if he doesn’t show up.
